About Chip Rybak
Chip Rybak was born in the hamlet of Torrington, Connecticut, in the Northwest part of the state. His early years of performing consisted of mimicking bits from The Three Stooges, Marx Brothers, and Charlie Chaplin, which he watched endlessly as a child on TV and VHS tapes. He pursued his passion for acting by studying at the Warner Theater and performing in high school productions.
At the age of 18 Chip enrolled in acting conservatory at the University of Hartford, Hartt School of Drama. His studies at Hartt would take him across the ocean to study Shakespeare and Classic text in England.
After graduating Chip worked in a dive bar and played guitar in a punk/blues/surf rock band, The Main Street Suits. His love of performance and acting would bring him to NYC, where he would go on to study acting at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in NYC, the Moscow Art Theater in Cambridge, Massachusetts, and at The Actors Studio Drama School M.F.A. Acting Program… all while working behind various bars in NYC, and as a journeyman actor in TV, film, and theater.
Throughout the years Chip’s education and travels have taken him from dive bars to theater stages and film sets, from punk rock class clown to Shakespearean trained actor.
As performer, entertainer, and actor he has never forgotten the wonder and impact to make audiences laugh, think, and be inspired.
Chip currently resides in Brooklyn, New York.
